Sixty years of M20s with a shared shape and very little else in common. Gear systems went manual to electric, engines went 180 hp to turbocharged 280, and the type has changed hands enough that there is no single official archive.

These documents are for reference and study. Editions, serial ranges, and revision levels vary, and none of these copies carries your airplane's weight and balance or equipment list. The current POH or AFM in your aircraft governs every flight.

There is no verified free type-club library for the M20 right now. The Mooney Aircraft Pilots Association has historically kept a members' technical library, but mooneypilots.com did not resolve when we checked, so this browsable scan index is the practical fallback. Ask on a Mooney forum for the edition matching your serial.

M20 / M20A–M20G (1955–1978)1 doc
Wood-wing early airframes through the 200 hp M20E and F. Manual gear on many, and the flap and gear speeds are lower than pilots expect.

M20J 201 (1977–1998)1 doc
The efficiency airplane: 200 hp IO-360 and the cleaned-up cowl that put 201 mph on the nameplate. Several sub-models with different gross weights and fuel.

M20M TLS / Bravo (1989–2003)1 doc
Turbocharged 270 hp TIO-540. Critical altitude, cooling management, and the turbo's limits are the reason to read this book cover to cover.

M20R Ovation (1994–present)2 docs
Normally aspirated 280 hp IO-550 with a long cabin. Ovation2 and Ovation3 raised gross weight and changed the propeller, so performance charts vary.
