About

On the ramp at Livermore (KLVK), in front of a Cessna 172.
On the ramp at Livermore (KLVK).

I'm an entrepreneur and a general-aviation pilot. I earned my private certificate in the San Francisco Bay Area, flying a Cessna 172 out of Livermore (KLVK).

This tool started as a binder. For my checkride I put together my own kneeboard kit: half-letter pages in sleeves, a checklist I'd written myself — including the items I personally tend to forget — plus a printed chart supplement page, an airport diagram, and a safety briefing card for the 172. Building it by hand was tedious, but flying with it, everything I needed was exactly where I expected it. It genuinely helped.

Afterward I wanted that without the scissors and the sleeve-punching, and I wanted to re-print the day I changed one line. So I built the editor I'd wished I had: you make the checklist you actually want and print it exactly like the preview, at any page size.

It's free forever for personal use — no caps on checklists, sections, or items, ever. Donations go toward hosting and my instrument rating, which I'm paying for a lesson at a time. And whatever you build, verify it against your aircraft's POH before you fly it.

How the templates are built and reviewed

The aircraft templates are my own work — original, condensed compilations written in a consistent house style from each aircraft's published procedures. They are never copied from a manufacturer's manual or another product, and they are never the approved document themselves.

  • Original compilations. Each template is paraphrased into a clean, phase-of-flight structure — preflight through shutdown, plus emergency sections where they add value.
  • Human-reviewed before publishing. A template's page only goes live after a review pass, and emergency content is held to an especially conservative bar. Memory items are marked as memory items, not buried in routine steps.
  • Corrections welcome. If something's wrong, tell me and I'll fix it — use the feedback chip in the corner or the address below. Every template carries a report path.
