Terms of use

The service
FlightList is a tool for building, printing and sharing aviation checklists. It is free for personal use — you can create, edit, save, print and export as many checklists, with as many sections and items, as you like. There are no usage caps on the free tier.
You may use it for your own flying. You may not resell it, scrape it, or misrepresent it as an official or approved flight document.
Accounts & your data
You can use the editor without an account; your work saves in your browser. Creating a free account keeps your checklists across devices and enables sharing. Sign-in is by emailed link or code — I don't store a password.
Your checklists are private by default. You can export a full copy of your data and you can delete your account at any time, which permanently removes your saved checklists. See the privacy page for how data is handled.
Supporter, Pro & Club
Everything needed to build and print a checklist is free. Optional payments only unlock branding on the printed page — your tail number, a logo, and watermark-free prints.
- Supporter (donation): any one-time donation unlocks branding for 12 months from the date of the donation.
- Pro (subscription): an auto-renewing yearly subscription that keeps branding active so it never lapses. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals and your branding remains through the period you already paid for.
- Club: a multi-seat arrangement for schools and clubs, agreed directly.
If a subscription lapses or a donation unlock expires, branding simply stops rendering on new prints. Your checklists, tail numbers and uploaded logos are preserved, so renewing restores them. Payments are processed by Stripe; I never see or store your full card details.
Safety & the templates
This is safety-adjacent software, so read this part carefully. The aircraft templates are original compilations written in a house style — they are not manufacturer documents and not approved flight manuals. Emergency content is a memory aid, never a substitute for trained procedures or the approved documents in your aircraft.
You are the pilot in command of your own decisions. Always fly by your aircraft's approved POH/AFM and current FAA guidance.
Liability
FlightList is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. It is a document-authoring tool, not an avionics system or an authoritative source of aircraft procedures. To the extent permitted by law, the builder is not liable for any loss, damage, or outcome arising from use of the software or the checklists you create with it. If any part of this limitation is unenforceable where you live, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the project evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions? Email hello@flightlist.app.
